    of the Year

    This award recognises one set of Chambers as the leading in Wales. The winning set will have demonstrated excellence in their practice area(s), innovation, a commitment to diversity and corporate social responsibility. Above all, the Chambers will prove a consistent commitment to client support, satisfaction and a proven track record at being involved in the leading/reported cases in their field(s).

  • Claimant Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a claimant team that, following a loss, has brought a claim and recovered compensation for their client(s) that will have had a profound impact. Along with damages or compensation, the winning team will have provided the upmost support, understanding and professionalism to its client(s).

  • Corporate and Commercial Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a corporate and/or commercial team in providing commercial advice and support. The winning team will have provided proactive, innovative and commercial advice to clients in the context of either one exceptional deal or ongoing commercial advice and support.

  • Corporate and Social Responsibility Programme
    of the Year

    This award recognises an excellent corporate and social responsibility programme within the legal sector in Wales. The winning programme will demonstrate a commitment to one or some of the following: green and sustainable practices, environmental awareness, charity work, pro-bono initiatives and involvement in local communities across Wales.

  • Criminal Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a criminal team in providing innovative and practical defence advice to individuals. The winning team will demonstrate a commitment to providing justice for individuals either on a legal aid or privately paying basis.

  • Employment Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from an employment team in providing commercial, practical and sympathetic solutions for both employees and employers. The winning team will be able to demonstrate it has provided bespoke advice and obtained the best result for its client.

  • Family Law Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a family law team in providing truly exceptional and bespoke legal advice to clients at this difficult time. The winning team will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in advising in all areas of family law and their ability to offer compassionate yet innovative advice.

  • In-House Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance of an in-house legal team. The winning team will demonstrate it has fulfilled strategic objectives and excelled across the full spectrum of in-house responsibilities including legal expertise, innovation, teamwork, efficiency and a clear contribution to the success of the business.

  • Litigation Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises outstanding performance from a litigation team in providing commercially astute advice in relation to any dispute either for commercial clients or individuals. The winning team will have successfully advised on, strategised and delivered the best result for its client(s) with a clear focus on client care.

  • Private Client Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a private client team in providing truly exceptional and bespoke legal advice to clients in relation to their private affairs (wills, tax, trusts, estates, contentious probate, court of protection work and powers of attorney). The winning team will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in advising in all areas of private client services and their ability to offer compassionate yet innovative advice.

  • Real Estate, Property and Construction Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a commercial property team in providing commercial advice to developers, landlords and investors. The winning team will demonstrate it is at the forefront of the provision of high quality advice in relation to commercial property, construction, planning and/or disputes arising from commercial property in Wales.

  • Regulatory and White Collar Crime Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance of a regulatory team in delivering dedicated advice and representation in relation to regulatory issues and corporate crime (including fraud, money laundering and prosecutions from government agencies for non-compliance). The winning team will demonstrate its provision of commercially focused, discreet and strategic advice to clients.

  • Residential and Conveyancing Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance of a residential conveyancing team in delivering a smooth transaction and client-focused service for clients. The winning team will demonstrate cost effectiveness, commitment and professionalism at what is often a fraught time for clients.

  • Rising Star
    of the Year

    This award recognises one individual who has been nominated as a Rising Star within the legal profession. This individual will already be demonstrating success and client care within their chosen sector. This is one of only two awards for an individual and the judges will be looking for personal and professional excellence alongside evidence of an individual who stands heads and shoulders above their contemporaries in Wales.

  • Services to the Legal Profession Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance of a team that has consistently delivered excellent services to the legal profession such as IT support, marketing, business development, financial services, insurance services, translation services, software, shredding service, storage/archiving and costs draftsman. The winning team will demonstrate a consistent delivery of innovative and client-focused services to enhance its clients’ legal offering.

  • Training Team
    of the Year

    This award recognises the outstanding performance from a training team in offering tailored and effective training within a legal business. The winning team will demonstrate it has provided regular events for a range of clients with a focus on upskilling delegates to increase performance.
