• How do I enter?

    The Wales Legal Awards will open for entries on 19th November 2018. Entry is free and this is no limit to the number of categories you enter. If you wish to nominate a team or individual for the awards please email their contact details and the category you think they should be entered for to info@grapevineeventmanagement.co.uk so we can contact them to take their application further.

    Please ensure you have also read and understood the terms and conditions before entering.

  • Is my company eligible to enter the Awards?

    The main office of the business must be located within Wales and the business should have been trading for a minimum of 12 months on the 31st December 2018.

  • When do entries close?

    Entries close on 1st February 2019.

  • When will I find out if my company has been shortlisted?

    We will contact all entrants (regardless of whether they have been shortlisted or not) by email.

    The shortlist will be published on 18th February 2019.

  • What’s the judging process?

    All shortlisted candidates will be called to attend an interview with a panel of judges. The interviews will take place in March 2019. We try and be as flexible as we can with the interview dates and these will be advertised in advance.

  • How long is the interview?

    The interview should take no longer than 15 minutes. A 10 minute presentation and 5 minute Q&A. No computer aids are allowed.

  • If I/my company is shortlisted, do I get any free tickets to the Awards night?

    Everyone is asked to purchase tickets from the website in advance of the evening. Priority is given to shortlisted companies and sponsors first but it is on a first come first served basis so get you are advised to book early to guarantee the tickets you require.

  • How much are tickets?

    Tickets are £90+VAT, a table is £900+VAT

  • How do I book tickets for the Awards?

    You can reserve your ticket request via the website and you will be sent an invoice.

  • What is included in the ticket price?

    The ticket includes a drink on arrival and a 3 course meal with after dinner tea/coffee.

  • Is there accommodation reserved at the hotel for guests?

    Yes, however it is limited. If you wish to book a room for the night of the awards, a classic bedroom for single occupancy will cost £105 and for double occupancy will cost £115. These rates are inclusive of VAT, service, full Welsh breakfast, WIFI and use of the health and leisure club. 

    Upon booking, please quote the Wales Legal Awards as this price is exclusive us. 

    Please note that if you are intending on using this offer, please do so by the 19th April 2019 as after this date, the rooms will be release to the general public.

  • Who do I notify if one of my guests has special dietary requirements?

    Please notify the organisers – Grapevine Event Management – of any dietary requirements at least 2 weeks before the event.

  • Someone that was coming can’t any more, can someone take their place?

    Yes, just let us know so who they are and if they have any dietary requirements.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

  • Are there any physical tickets for the Awards?

    No, there are no physical tickets but there will be a guest list on the door.

  • When are the Awards?

    The Awards will be held on Friday 17th May 2019

  • Where are the Awards being held?

    The Awards are being held at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel

  • What is the dress code?

    Black-tie

  • What are the timings of the Awards night?

    6.30pm – Drinks Reception

    7.15pm – Call for dinner

    8pm – Dinner

    9.30pm – Awards commence

    11.30pm – End of formal proceedings

    2am – Event close

  • Can I pre-order wine?

    Yes, a pre-order wine list will be sent out once you have confirmed your table booking. This needs to be returned DIRECTLY to the venue.

  • Will there by a charity collection at the event?

    Yes, on the night we will be collecting money for St. David’s Hospice Care so please be aware that there will be cash charity envelopes on the tables during dinner
