The nominations were judged by an expert, independent panel of judges from across the sector, including representatives from The Law Society Gazette, Presidents of regional law societies in Wales, LawTech and innovation experts and the Chief Legal Advisor to the Senedd / Welsh Parliament. The judges will now meet each finalist team or individual in person to determine the winner of each category – announced at the black-tie gala awards ceremony on 20 May 2022.

The judging panel comprises a diverse range of highly experienced and peer-regarded individuals in their field who each offer a unique perspective and point of reference when assessing nominations and interviewing those shortlisted. Previous Wales Legal Awards finalists and winners have said they value the mix of written submissions and in-person interviews as they ensure the winners are considered with the highest authority and that care and objective discussion has been invested in the process.
